Here's the solution: Lightscape to Clay group coaching program

"Lightscape to Clay: Pottery That Lights Up Your Life" is a thoughtfully designed 6-week group coaching program that invites you on a transformative journey from the foundational elements of pottery to the creation of enchanting light sculptures that enrich your environment and soul.

Over the 6 weeks, you'll have enough time to delve deeper into the art and technique of slab-building, and you will explore the boundless possibilities it offers beyond light sculptures.

In this unique program, we go beyond the pottery teaching methods by emphasizing a slow, mindful approach to creation. Each week, you'll engage in lessons that not only refine your skills but also encourage you to find a deeper connection with your work, turning the process into a meditative practice that brings tranquility into your busy life.

Hi, I'm Viktoria!

I am here to help you

My path wasn't always paved with clay; it started amidst the figures and forecasts of finance. Yet, after a decade in finance, I chose to follow the whispers of my childhood dreams back to the earthy embrace of pottery. I have been participating in several pottery courses in Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Hungary and also I taught myself at the same time.

Today I bring my years of learning to life in my small cosy studio, in Aeugst am Albis, Switzerland. Here I create hand-built, functional, yet decorative stoneware and porcelain pottery designed to make everyday moments a little more special.

For me pottery is a way to reconnect with the now. It's my meditation. My teaching approach is rooted in the belief that pottery is not just a craft, but a way to connect with ourselves and our surroundings. I strive to guide my students through their own journeys of discovery, helping them find their unique voice in the clay, just as I have found mine.

Lightscape to Clay: Pottery that Lights Up Your Life

May 3 - June 21, 2024

What's in it

  • Kick-off video module on May 3

  • 6 weeks group coaching program with weekly 30-60 mins video modules starting on May 10

  • Weekly live 60 mins group mentoring calls

  • Safe learning platform, plus a supportive community in a private Facebook Group

  • Week 1-2: Getting confident at slab-building

In the first two weeks, we will be working on projects that deepen your knowledge in the slab-building technique. I’ll show you how to make your slabs interesting and lively, creating unusual shapes. You’ll get better and feel more confident for your master light sculpture piece, as we practice.

  • Week 3: Playing with Designs

Now, you'll learn how to think up a design for your big project. I’ll take you through how to turn your design ideas into a real clay piece step by step.

  • Weeks 4-5: Making Your Light Sculpture

This is where you put everything you’ve learned to the test and create your masterpiece. I’ll be right there with you, guiding you through each step to bring your vision to life. You’ll also learn how to smooth and polish your sculpture so it looks beautiful without needing any glaze.

  • Week 6: Finalizing and Showing Off Your Project

In our last week, you’ll finalize your masterpiece, have it fired in a kiln (skip this if you work with air-dry clay). Then, you get to share what you’ve made with the group, get feedback, and celebrate what you’ve achieved.

Envision this...

At the end of the program you will not only be proud to have your own, unique light sculpture but you will also be able to apply your new skills confidently beyond light sculptures to other complex projects, expanding your pottery repertoire.

By the end of the 6 weeks, you will have not only sharpened your pottery skills but also experienced the profound meditative process of creating art that illuminates both your space and your spirit.

Here's what participants are saying about "Clayful Moments", my previous online course...

"Thank you so much for your hard work and encouragement. You put a lot of effort and time into this course and I really enjoyed it. I feel so happy when I am creating something and you have helped me explore a new passion". Sophie M.

"The course was very enjoyable and fun. Victoria is a great teacher. She introduced various techniques and explained them very clearly. I have rediscovered how working with clay is a great way to find creativity, focus and inner calm after a busy work day. I would definitely recommend this course." Andrea Z.

"The recorded sessions were great; it’s good to be able to watch and rewatch them. I’ve been watching each of them at least 2 times." Giulia A.

"I like the structure of the course and the Victoria's communication style and pace is excellent. The Q&As were very informative as well and her style of teaching and inclusiveness didn't make me feel left out even though I hadn't completed all the steps in time. Viktoria very inspiring and has left me wanting to continue and look at more courses. Thanks for the introduction!!!" Carol S.

Still got questions?

1. Who is this group coaching program for?

This program is for you if you want to improve your slab-building technical skills but also to immerse yourself in the process, finding tranquility and satisfaction in every beautiful light sculpture you create.

2. What materials will I need?

This program focuses on techniques that do not require glazing, so you will need basic pottery tools, some hole cutter tools and clay (or air-dry clay). A detailed list of materials, including recommendations for where to purchase them, will be provided upon enrollment. If you work with stoneware clay, you will need to have your pieces bisque fired (approx. 1020 Celsius Degree) at the end of the program.

3. I’m a complete beginner. Will I be able to keep up?

Absolutely! "Lightscape to Clay" is structured to accommodate all levels, with step-by-step guidance that ensures beginners can follow along comfortably and more experienced potters can deepen their skills. Plus, the supportive community and direct instructor feedback will help address any challenges you face.

4. When are the weekly modules released and when are the live Q&A calls?

Weekly modules will be released on Fridays. Live Q&A calls will take place on Monday evenings, and will be recorded.

5. How much time do I need to commit each week?

I recommend setting aside 1 hour per week for video lessons and 3 hours per week for project works. However, the more time you can dedicate to practice, the more you’ll get out of the program. Remember, the flexible structure allows you to work at your own pace and according to your own schedule.

6. What if I miss a live session?

All live sessions are recorded and made available to the participants. You can watch the recordings at any time that suits you, ensuring you won’t miss out on any learning even if you can’t attend live.

7. What makes this program different from other online pottery programs?

The "Lightscape to Clay" group coaching program stands out because of its focus on creating light sculptures, a unique and beautiful project that combines art with functionality. Also, it is not a course but a group coaching program with small amount of people that allows for more focus on the individuals. The emphasis on mindfulness and well-being, personalized feedback, and a supportive community environment make this course a holistic experience, not just a series of lessons.
